Living with anxiety often means trying to make sense of it, why it’s there, why it won’t go away. What’s harder is knowing how to stop organising your life around it. 

What I can do...

My name is Dana, and I am a qualified therapist, working with Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy for Anxiety, Phobias & OCD, and related difficulties such as low self-esteem and relationship issues, particularily where anxiety plays a central role.

My work is centred around exploring what is keeping you stuck, tailoring an approach that fits you, and helping you to move from talking about your difficulties, to actually make the changes you want in your life.

Fear ≠ Fact

Just because fear says you can’t, doesn’t mean it’s true.

Anxiety is a built in survival mechanism, and some level of it is healthy and necessary. The aim of therapy isn’t to get rid of anxiety completely, but to gradually change your relationship to it, so it doesn’t end up running your life.

If you’ve been making decisions based on what feels safe, we work on making them based on what matters to you.

I am here to to show you that you can reduce your fear, build confidence, show up differently your relationships, and get back to living your life.

How we get there

While understanding the context around anxiety is helpful to establish how to work with it, the place in the brain where Anxiety lives doesn’t understand language, it understands experience and the meaning we attribute to it. When something gets paired with fear, it gets stored, and next time something similar shows up, it fires. What creates change, is having enough new experiences with a new meaning attached to them, so your brain updates what it believes is dangerous.

I am empathetic and warm, but I do believe that empathy on its own sometimes keeps people stuck, and that’s why in our sessions, we understand what is to be understood, feel what needs to be felt, and then we move through it by implementing things that you can actually DO in your day to day life.

I work integratively with Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy which means more ways to help you get where you want to be.

Insight matters.
So does change.

Booking a session

I offer a free initial 15-minute consultation, to give you the chance to ask any questions you may have, discuss your goals, and explore how I can support you on your journey.

Standard Psychotherapy/Hypnotherapy sessions are 60 minutes long and cost £65 each, or you can choose a block of 4 sessions for £200.

If you’re already signed up for a package or are an existing client, you can book your 60-minute appointment directly through the booking system.
